So, I it turns out that many, many people also had wheels just like mine, which cracked just like mine. The manufacturer's response to this problem is "OH MY GOD PLEASE DON'T SUE US!" And they manifest this attitude by replacing my wheels FOR FREE. So, although I didn't realize it, the last set of wheels that I bought for the car were really more of a wheel subscription.
